Hidden Tides Astrology

Astrology for self-understanding, not self-definition

About Casey

I was exposed to the metaphysical at a young age. Many of the women in my family had a connection to spiritual work in one form or another.

At first, though, I took a very different path.

I studied Microbiology, drawn to biological systems and the way organisms evolve under pressure to survive within changing environments. I was fascinated by adaptation—by the ways living systems respond to stress, develop protective mechanisms, and change over time in order to survive.

Years later, during a difficult period in my own life, I found my way back to astrology as a tool for understanding what I was moving through. What began as a personal interest quickly became something much deeper.

The more I studied astrology, the more I recognized a familiar pattern.

External pressures do not only shape organisms—they shape us, too.

The environments we move through, the experiences we endure, the relationships we form, and the stories we inherit all influence how we adapt, how we protect ourselves, and ultimately who we become.

We inherit more than genetics. We inherit beliefs, fears, ways of loving, expectations, and strategies for survival. Some of these patterns serve us. Others remain simply because we do not know who we might be without them.

Over time, this led me more deeply into evolutionary and psychological astrology, shadow work, and questions of inheritance—both personal and collective.

I became interested in the idea that many of the patterns we carry may operate far beneath conscious awareness: emotional inheritances, relational dynamics, survival strategies, and recurring themes that can feel deeply familiar, as though they have been carried forward in some way throughout our lives.

Some people understand these patterns through the lens of past lives or soul growth. Others approach them psychologically. Either way, the underlying questions remain the same:

What patterns are we unconsciously repeating?

Which ones still serve us?

And which do we continue carrying because we do not know how to be without them?

To me, astrology offers a symbolic language for exploring those questions.

Not as a tool for defining who we are, but for illuminating the currents moving beneath the surface: the tensions we carry, the cycles we return to, and the places where life may be asking something different of us.

The tides that shape us are often invisible. But invisible does not mean unchangeable.

My work is grounded in the belief that we are shaped by our experiences, but we are not reduced to them. Astrology cannot tell us who we are. At its best, it can help us better understand the patterns through which we have become—and the possibilities of who we may still be becoming.

This is not about reducing a person to a set of placements or predicting a fixed future. It is about creating space for reflection, curiosity, and self-understanding.

Because while we may not choose every current that shapes us, we may have some say in what we carry forward.

What lives beneath the surface

shapes everything above it.

I don’t approach astrology as a system of fixed meanings or rigid definitions.

To me, a birth chart is not a verdict or a fixed identity. It is a symbolic map—one that reflects both the challenges and potentials we carry, as well as the themes that may unfold across a lifetime.

My work is rooted in evolutionary and psychological astrology. This perspective views the chart not as something static, but as part of an ongoing process of growth and development. Rather than asking only what a placement means, I am often more interested in how it has been lived, adapted to, and expressed over time.

Evolutionary astrology explores the idea that we each arrive with certain patterns, predispositions, and lessons that shape our experience. Some people understand these through the lens of past lives or soul growth, while others relate to them more psychologically. In either case, the chart can offer insight into what feels familiar, what continues to repeat, and what may be asking to evolve.

I also draw from the understanding that much of our inner world is inherited. Families pass down more than traditions or physical traits; they can also transmit ways of relating, beliefs about safety and belonging, emotional responses, and strategies for navigating the world. These inheritances often operate quietly beneath conscious awareness, shaping our lives in ways we may not immediately recognize.

In practice, this means we approach the chart with curiosity rather than judgment.

I believe every placement exists on a spectrum of expression. The same planetary energy can manifest differently depending on a person’s experiences, relationships, environment, and level of awareness.

Because of this, I avoid deterministic interpretations or one-size-fits-all meanings. Astrology, to me, is less about prediction and more about creating language for experiences that can otherwise feel difficult to name.

During readings, I often draw on archetypes, symbolism, and storytelling to make complex dynamics more tangible and accessible. When helpful, I also incorporate transits and timing techniques, particularly during periods of transition or uncertainty. These can offer context for what you may be moving through and the broader cycles unfolding in your life.

My role is not to tell you who you are.

It is to offer perspective: to illuminate recurring themes, reflect possibilities that may be difficult to see from within, and create space for deeper self-understanding.

This work is collaborative. It moves at your pace and honors your lived experience as an essential part of the conversation.

My Approach

Readings

Each session is a space to understand your patterns more clearly

A deep dive into your chart as a whole system.

We explore the patterns that shape how you move through your life - in relationships, decision-making, and ways you respond to pressure and change.

This is about understanding yourself more clearly, not being defined by placements.

Natal Chart Reading

Explore the dynamic between you and another person—how you experience each other, what you bring out in one another, and the deeper patterns shaping the connection.

These readings look beyond surface-level compatibility to understand the emotional, relational, and long-term dynamics within a relationship—whether romantic, platonic, or familial.

Relationship Readings (Synastry)

Understand the timing of your life—what’s unfolding now, what’s ahead, and how to move through it with more clarity and intention.

Whether you’re navigating a current situation or preparing for a new chapter, these readings offer insight into the cycles shaping your experiences and how to work with them more consciously.
